Nola Update

Nola is 2 years and 3 months old. 

She is SO. MUCH. FUN.

I'm constantly surprised by how much she knows.  She talks all the time and I can understand about 90% of it.  She recently learned the Happy Birthday song and likes to sing it with me.  We start by singing it for Daddy, then Mommy, then Baby.  She also loves to sing the ABC's and knows quite a few of them.  She knows all of her colors but her favorite is purple (she calls it "Purkle").  

Her favorite toy right now is the stuffed elephant she got for Christmas from Great Old Buddy and GG. She named it Poy.  I have no idea where that came from.  She sleeps with it and takes it to daycare, it's basically with her all the time.  

She also got a sensory table from my Mom for Christmas.  We put pom poms in it last weekend and let her go crazy.  She loved it.  I was pretending to pull them out of her ear and she thought that was hilarious.

Last weekend we went to a friends first birthday party (unfortunately, Nola was too shy to show off her new singing skills).  Nola and Penelope were super cute together.  I hope they're BFFs when they're older.

We haven't seen a lot of the "terrible two," although she is pretty mad in the mornings.  She is still an amazing sleeper and will sleep until 9:30 or 10 on weekends.  

She is just a fun little girl and I'm so glad I get to be her mom!

  

Reynolds Family Christmas 2013

My favorite weekend of the year is when my family gets together to celebrate Christmas.  This doesn't happen until mid-January.  We had such a fun weekend!  We always have a blast together.

Nola was our entertainment for the weekend.  She's constantly surprising me with the things she knows.  After opening presents she did a little magic show for us.  She would put an animal in a box and say "Abracadabra!" then close her eyes and count to 10.  While she was counting we would take the animal out.  She was AMAZED!  She would even bow afterwards.  SO CUTE.  Then she got in the box and tried to disappear?!?!

It was a fantastic weekend.  I love my family.  They should move to Nebraska.

Hello 2014!

Obviously, my New Years resolution was not to blog more!  I had set aside time to put some posts together and ended up getting the flu.  We feel better now (Nola was so gracious to give it to me) and my schedule has slowed down, so I'm back!

Robert and I got to go to a friends house for New Years Eve.  We had a blast and were home by 11:30. Win, win!  We tried to get a few pictures but Robert got weird.

We finally got a good one.

Pictures are actually part of my New Years resolution.  I want to take more pictures with me in them.  I think it would be nice for Nola to have pictures of us together when she was little.

I'm ready for 2014.  I know it's going to be a great year!
