5 months

I can't believe we are one month away from his half birthday!  It's going way too fast.  Everyday I wonder if this is the smallest baby I'm ever going to have.

He is still the cutest.  We are working on rolling back to front, I finally caught him rolling front to back on April 24.

We started giving him rice cereal at dinner.  I've had several late nights the last few weeks with end of the year/senior award stuff, plus my sand volleyball season started, so we haven't been very consistent with it.  I figure it will be a summer thing just like working out, cooking dinner, and going to bed at a reasonable time.

Nola continues to be a big help and a loving big sister.  She's starting to try to pick him up so I have to keep a close eye on her.

He smiles the most when she's in the room.  The other day I was holding him and she was suppose to be in bed.  She came out to get a drink/go to the bathroom/tell us she was changing her pajamas/some other excuse to come out of her room and his face lit up!  He had the biggest smile on his face while she kissed him goodnight (for the 4th time).

The biggest change last month was that he was sleeping through the night, well this month's biggest change is that he isn't.  Did you know a lot of babies go through a sleep regression during this time?  I didn't until I starting Googling "WHY IS MY 4 MONTH OLD BABY NOT SLEEPING?"  Nola slept through the night when she was 7 weeks old and unless she was sick she stayed asleep (until Turk was born...).  Turk has had a few nights of 4-5 hour stretches but for a while there he wasn't sleeping more than 3 at a time.  Robert got sick last week and it's working its way through the house, so I'm nervous about Turk getting it and keeping me awake even more (spoiler alert- he gets it, I get it, and we both stay up several nights in the beginning of his 5th month.  Stay tuned for the 6 month update to find out more!!).

It's not terrible waking up with him.  He is so cute.  And so smiley.
